春から伸ばし放題にしてしまった木々を、順次剪定していきますよ。
特に、杜松は機嫌を損ねると厄介な樹種なので、気になっていました。
どんな木でも同じですが、ボサボサで不潔な状態を嫌がりますね。
早く掃除してあげたかった樹種が、杜松。
しかし、杜松の剪定に本格的に取り掛かる前に、雑木類の伸びすぎた枝が日々の灌水を阻んでいます。
イボタやムレスズメ、寒グミ、、、棚場が小さな藪になっていました。
とにかく切って切って、木の姿が見えるまでに剪定を繰り返しましたよ。
で、ようやく水かけが楽にできるまでになりました。
In my garden, a lot of trees have been growing their branches since spring.
Now I need to cut back them boldly.
I was especially concerned about Tosho junipers, which don't like being left overgrown and untidy.
All tree species hate unpleasant conditions, but I wanted to prune and clean the tosho junipers in a hurry.
However, before I can begin pruning the junipers in earnest, I find that the overgrown branches of other trees are interfering with my daily watering.
There are small bushes here and there on my bonsai stands.
So I worked hard to cut back the branches that had grown too long.
Finally, I was able to water my trees easily.

伽羅木のことは知りませんが、
杜松はビャクシン属で真柏と同じ仲間です。

What do you think of the IB #4 12-8-8 fertilizer? I imported a large bag of it to the U.S.A. early this spring. I haven't had the chance to use it yet.
